45 degrees outside temperature. The air is dusty, the noise deafening. Only a few people in shiny silver full-body protective suits remain in the hall, which is the size of a soccer field. Flames blaze from mighty boilers. Glowing heat rises from the enormous, 30-meter-long furnaces. Steel is cooked there at temperatures of up to 1,300 degrees Celsius.
In the literally sweat-inducing production of steel, countless individual steps and components have to mesh seamlessly and reliably. A shutdown would incur considerable costs – because simply switching on and off is simply not possible with the valuable melting furnaces.
The drive is of particular importance in the steel mill. The steel to be moved is red-hot and weighs tons. In addition, there are heavy shocks and vibrations during the often jerky acceleration and deceleration of the hot material to be transported. The load on the drive is correspondingly high. It has to be very robust and resistant to reliably withstand all these extreme conditions.

In-house materials laboratory
When developing products, we use state-of-the-art materials laboratory to ensure best possible solution for your application. In doing so, we develop and process various elastomer compounds (NBR, SBR, EPDM, silicone / VMQ) according to requirements.
Virtual product development
Virtual product development includes multi-body simulation (MBS), finite element method (FEM) and FKM evaluation (strength verification). Rapid prototyping is used to verify calculation and measurement.
