With the establishment of forming technology, SGF has faced the transformation of the automotive industry in two ways. SGF has opened up the completely new product spectrum of rotationally formed components and, in addition, SGF immediately sought initial applications in e-mobility.

The special know-how of rotary/sequential forming was successfully developed with the scientific support of our central laboratory.

Our Products

Sequential forming offers extensive advantages. In addition to the special work hardening, the good surface structures, for example, the tightness of these high-strength and dimensionally stable components is guaranteed from the process alone. As material for our special forming, which is very close to flow forming, we have various types of steel, as well as stainless steels and aluminum.

Pulleys

The pulley is a classic product for rotary forming on the combustion engine. Within a very short time we were able to go through a series development for our customers and now deliver interesting application possibilities in series.

Stator Carriers

Until now, large stator carriers have mostly been produced by machining, which is very cost-intensive. Less expensive castings have many disadvantages. In addition to the brittle material, which can hardly absorb pressure from the inside, blowholes and leaks cause problems in series production. We combine all advantages in one.

Rotor Bandages / Reinforcements

Due to the way they function, the materials in the rotor of an electric machine are usually not high-strength and require a supporting bandage to prevent elastic and, above all, plastic deformation at the usual speeds >15,000 rpm.
